Hearts of Gold melons are packed with delicious, thick flesh! Flesh is orange in color. The vigorous, blight resistant vines of this melon variety are very productive and deliver nice 3 to 4 pound melons. Plants produce good yields of 3 – 4 lb cantaloupes. The deep orange flesh is very flavorful and sweet. This melon was developed by Roland Morrill about 1895, and granted a trademark on December 15, 1914.
